Timothy J. Haley, CPA/PFS, CFP®, MSFP

As the founder of Advocate Wealth Management, Tim brings a
wealth of experience to the table. He has spent his entire 25-year career working as a financial professional including 15 years as
a Chief Financial Officer.
Tim is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner® and has been designated a Personal Financial Specialist by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As a
trusted advisor, Tim most enjoys the positive difference he makes
in his clients’ lives as their financial advocate and personal CFO.
In addition to his undergraduate degree in Finance, Tim completed the program for Financial Planners at Boston University and later received a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University. At Bentley, he graduated first in his class and was a recipient of the Professor E. Dandes Award for Graduate Academic Excellence.
A life-long Massachusetts resident, Tim resides in Arlington with his wife Cathy (a kindergarten teacher
in the Winchester school system) and their daughters, Jennifer and Kate.
In his own small way, Tim is committed to making the world a better place. For the past nine years Tim
has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay. Touched by the impact hospice
had on his family Tim works as a hospice volunteer with the Visiting Nurse and Community Health Inc.
He also volunteers his time as a financial coach helping patients at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
and works as a Personal Financial Counselor serving military personnel and their families.
